Erosion and displacement of large cobbles and boulders from a rock face was causing safety concerns at a light industrial premises in Gloucestershire. The almost vertical and up to 7.0metre high rock face was the result of previous quarrying into the hillside.

Whilst development of the site had included some measures to contain displaced material an unprotected face remained immediately adjacent to pedestrian access.

JTS Geotechnical Solutions Ltd were pleased to assist in providing rock bolts and meshing to provide the necessary protection, designed by our Consulting Engineers, Intec Consulting (UK) Ltd.
